FAQs

What is the difference between NEMA and IP ratings?

NEMA 250 types describe protection against environmental conditions such as rain, dust, hose-down and corrosion, while IEC 60529 IP codes rate protection against solids and water only. A NEMA type can be mapped to a minimum IP code, but not the other way round.

Which enclosure standard applies in Canada?

Enclosures for electrical equipment in Canada are covered by CSA C22.2 No. 94.1 and No. 94.2. We build enclosures to the type and rating your specification calls for.
